Hwa Wei-An

Wei-An is an independent contemporary dance artist and choreographer who started his dance journey with street dance.

In 2018, Wei-An created a short solo known as The Art of Falling during his residency at Rimbun Dahan (MY). This period also saw Wei-An begin work on translating the movement language of freeriding into a dance form, with the support of Dance Nucleus (SG).

These lines of enquiry into falling, freeriding, and the flow state are being developed for a full-length solo, to be presented later this year.
